Our online “Schnupperkurs” German on levels A1, A2, B1 or B2 offer you the perfect opportunity to get to know our institute, our teaching style and our teachers – free of charge and with no obligation.

Standard courses
The language courses at Expedition Deutsch are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which describes language proficiency in six language levels:
A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.
After completing a full level with the courses at Expedition Deutsch, you will have the language skills described in the reference framework for that level. This means you will meet all the requirements to register for one of the renowned exams, such as the Goethe Certificate or the Telc Certificate.
Each language level is divided into three courses (e.g. A1.1, A 1.2 and A1.3) and each course lasts 10 weeks. Each course concludes with a test so that you can assess for yourself whether you have reached the course level.
We offer our standard group courses with the following options:
- On-site course:
You have one session per week with your teacher and the other course participants. If you are unable to attend a lesson because you are on a business trip, for example, you can also follow the lesson online (hybrid lesson).
- Live online course:
You have one live online session per week with your teacher and the other course participants – just like in a traditional classroom language course.
This means you can learn German from the comfort of your own home or anywhere else in the world, whether you are at home or on the move. This way, you will never miss a lesson again and can use your time more efficiently.
For each course, you can choose whether you want to take it in Rotterdam or online.

Our minimum number of students is 5 and our maximum is 12.
We ask all new students to take a placement test first.
If you are a beginner, there is no need to take a placement test, you can then register directly for an A1.1 course.

In diesem Kurs steht das Sprechen auf Deutsch im Vordergrund. Wir reden über Themen eurer Wahl und wechseln hierbei - passend zu euren Wünschen - den Themenbereich regelmäßig ab. Anlass zum Sprechen und Diskutieren kann z.B. ein Kurzfilm sein, ein Buch, eine Kurzgeschichte, ein Poetry-Slam-Beitrag oder ein aktueller Zeitungsartikel. Hierbei wird der Wortschatz erweitert und in Form verschiedener Übungen trainiert.
